The Month of Rajab 1430
The Holy Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, said. "The year is of twelve months, out of which four months are sacred: Three are in succession Dhul-Qa'da, Dhul-Hijja and Muharram, and (the fourth is) Rajab of (the tribe of) Mudar which comes between Jumadi-ath-Thaniyah and Sha ban." Al-Isra & Al-Mirage
This is the night of the 27th of Rajab. On this blessed night the Holy Prophet Muhammad, blessings and peace be upon him, was transported to Masjid Al-Aqsa, where he led the prophets and messengers in prayer. From there he ascended through the Heavens until he drew nearer to Allah than any human being or angel has approached. Allah presented him with the five times daily prayer. No special worship is prescribed for this momentous night, but it is recommended to reflect on the meaning of this wonderful journey.

The Holy Month of Ramadan is approaching
Soon it will be the month of Shaban, the month in which the Holy Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, in fasted more than any month except the Holy month of Ramadan. Soon the blessed month that we have been looking forward to since last year will be with us once more. Let us strive together to gain the reward from our extra devotions by prepaing our hearts by rememberance and charity, our minds by reflection, and our bodies by voluntary fasting on the recommended days of the week, Mondays and Thursdays, or by fasting the white days of the full moon, the 13th, 14th, & 15th.
